...didn't we? And itsn't it FUN?
There have been some issues with the Owner and the Construction People and the Engineers and the Architects...but hopefully, now that the Construction Contract has been signed, things will start moving along. We will be meeting with Randy - our Landlord/Accountant - on Friday to begin the delicate dance of Lease Talk. We've been trying to do our homework, calling Economic Development Offices in various counties, talking to Realtors and Shopping Center Developers, Tenants and Landlords, and of course, "Google-ing". The word 'Google' is now in the dictionary, you know. I know it is part of my vocabulary!
Dinner at the Brampton couldn't have been better. There were 19 guests and three servers, how hard could that be, eh? We had a lot of fun and I hope the guests did too. I think the highlight for me was having all the foie gras I could eat - with my fingers! - and it was so delicious, the best I've ever had. I suppose, since it may soon become a thing of the past in the USA, I should be glad I got it when I did. I've seen the "Go Veg" web site and it's horrible, as it is meant to be. But I'm a "farm girl" and I guess I'm not as sensitive as some...I love foie gras, especially the way Kevin prepared it at the Brampton on July 1.
Other news...meet Frankie, above, aka "The Terror". She's having her 10th week birthday tomorrow and so far she loves rolling around in the trash basket, eating her food, playing with her cork-strung fishing pole, and waking us up at 3AM for any and all of the above. Hopefully we are grooming her for her future career as a chipmunk killer. (see, I said I wasn't very sensitive) She's from the HSKC and so far a perfect compliment to our household. Just ask Ruby!
So, a few pictures follow this...I am trying to adjust that comment thing so it's not so huge, but hopefully you'll understand what's going on here.
